Dr. Thomas Garitty has been practicing dentistry since 2016 when he graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Oklahoma University Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City and a Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans and the LSU School of Dentistry.
Dr. Garitty chose dentistry because of his passion for science and the fact that he is able to work with his hands. He chose pediatric dentistry because it provides the most challenging and rewarding experiences. Dr. Garitty loves teaching the importance of creating healthy dental habits and showing his patients that the dentist can be a pleasant and fun experience.
Dr. Garitty is also dedicated to helping his patients understand that oral health goes hand in hand with overall health and that it is essential to consider all aspects of health, not just our teeth. He is also in the process of completing a Holistic training.
During his time away from the office he enjoys spending time with his fiancé and their dog Boba a 95lb Berne doodle! Dr. Garitty also enjoys playing golf, traveling, and cheering on the LSU Tigers.
